Privacy Policy
Himalayan Jungle Adventure Tour Guide Office – Privacy Policy
Effective date: 08 December 2025
We treat your personal data the same way we treat the jungle: leave only footprints, take only memories, and protect everything else.
1. What we collect
- Identity: name, nationality, passport or ID number, date of birth.
- Contact: e-mail, WhatsApp number, emergency/next-of-kin details.
- Trip details: dietary needs, lodge preferences, special requests, health notes relevant to jeep or canoe safaris.
- Payment: billing address and the last four digits of your card or transaction reference (all card processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party gateways; we never store full card numbers).
- Technical: IP address, browser type, pages you view on our site (used only to fix bugs and improve speed).
2. Why we use it
- To confirm your Chitwan safari, hotel room, or village walk.
- To send e-tickets, park permits, pick-up times, and weather updates.
- To keep you safe (for example, knowing you’re allergic to peanuts before we serve lunch in the buffer zone).
- To invite you to future promotions—only if you tick the “yes” box; you can untick at any time.
3. Who sees it
- Government-licensed jeep drivers, naturalist guides, and the lodge you’ll sleep in—only the data they need.
- Encrypted payment processors (eSewa, Stripe, or your bank).
- Law-enforcement or park authorities if they ask for a passenger manifest (rare, but required by Nepali park rules).
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your information—ever.
4. Where we keep it & how we protect it
- Stored on password-protected, SSL-encrypted servers located in Nepal and Singapore.
- Paper permit copies are locked in our Sauraha office while the trip runs, then shredded.
- Only two senior managers have admin access; everyone else sees only what they need for their job.
5. Your rights
- See: ask us for a copy of everything we hold on you.
- Fix: correct spelling mistakes or update passport numbers.
- Delete: request we erase your data after the trip ends (we must keep financial records for five Nepali fiscal years, but the rest can go).
- Unsubscribe: one click in any marketing e-mail, or message “STOP” on WhatsApp.
6. Outside links
Our blog may link to TripAdvisor, YouTube, or the national park’s site. Clicking there means you’re leaving our corner of the internet; their privacy rules apply instead.
7. Changes to this policy
If we tweak anything, we’ll post the new date at the top and send a short note to the e-mail you used for booking.
